Here at Ian Dickie and Wessels Plant Hire we try and do things a bit differently.....and have been doing so for the last ten years.
The first question that pops up is why differently?
Let me explain......
We have decided that the most important factor at Ian Dickie and Wessels Plant Hire is our Customer, after all if it was not for our Customers we would not be here.
So we focus 100% on our Products, After Sales Service, Product Availability and Staff training. Let’s discuss this one by one.
Products.
The products that Wessels Plant Hire hires out and Ian Dickie sells have been tried and tested by us in Botswana over the last 10 + Years.
Because of the Climate , Working Conditions, and Distances one travels to various sites the Equipment we hire and sell needs to be reliable and strong. That’s why we have chosen our products very carefully and came up with the best in the Industry.
From Concrete Mixers, Generators, Compactors, Vibratory Rollers, Power tools, Stihl Equipment, Hitachi Power tools, Rammers, Portable Compressors to name but a few we refuse to supply the product unless we get full distributor ship, which means we have a 100% Commitment from all our suppliers to supply us with their best service , spares, prices and back up.
WE are very proud of the fact that we have been with 96 % of our suppliers for longer than 15 Years.
After Sales Service.
Anyone can sell anything they want. What’s easier to have a product on your floor or shelf and when a customer walks in how easy is it to show the product give a competitive price and to sell it.
That’s where we come in, we do not just sell the product , we back it 100% with after sales service and a maintenance option.
We have a fully trained workshop and staff at Ian Dickie and Wessels Plant Hire with Mechanic’s that has been trained at all our Suppliers, and continuously gets updated training in S.A.
It’s all good and well to have the mechanic’s, if you do not have the spares on hand for the mechanic’s to fix the equipment we hire and sell what will that benefit ? WE carry a Comprehensive range of spares for all the products we sell and hire.
Product Availability.
Wessels Plant Hire and Ian Dickie only supply products that we know is easily available with the shortest delivery time possible. It is very seldom that we cannot supply a piece of equipment within 5 days if we do not have it in stock.
Staff Training.
Ian Dickie Botswana offers a unique new service and that is to train the operators on how to operate the equipment we sell. Once a Customer purchases an Item we will on a Saturday Morning or immediately when the machine is purchased train the operator on the usage and maintenance of the machine. This benefit’s the purchaser immensely as his equipment will do the job properly and will last much longer if maintained properly.
All Equipment hired from Wessels Plant Hire will also be demonstrated and operators trained either on site or in our Workshop.
WE also offer training for Companies with more than one or two operators once a month on all the different types of Construction Equipment i.e. Two Stroke Engines, Four Stroke Engines, Diesel Engines, Power tools etc.
